How We Judge the Award

Judges evaluate finalists for each award according to the substantiated solution attributes and achievements against the following criteria:

Each application will be read by 4 members of the CIO/Intel judging team who will rate it on a scale of 1 to 5 for each criterion. Applicants with the highest average scores will become semifinalists. There will be four semifinalists chosen per category. All scores will be kept confidential within the CIO/Intel judging team. Once the four semifinalists have been determined, each judge will be asked to rank order the pool of semifinalists within each category. The ranked scores will be added together and the entry with the highest ranked score in each category will become that category’s Intel Premier IT Knowledge Award winner. In the rare event that a tie score is reached throughout any portion of the judging process, the judging panel will collaborate and arbitrarily choose what applicants advance. To include Intel Premier IT Professional member participation, application abstracts will be compiled by the CIO/Intel judging team and posted on cio.com landing page. A simplistic voting mechanism for the eight semifinalists will be posted on this a cio.com landing page exclusively allowing Intel Premier IT Professional members to choose an overall best of submission from both categories. To ensure exclusivity, a redirect URL will be created by Intel within the Intel Premier IT Professional gated site driving members to this voting landing page. The highest ranked company will be showcased within the supplement and receive a plaque as an Intel Premier IT Professional’s Choice Award recipient. Odds of being voted best of submission will be determined by both the number of eligible submissions and the quality of each solution attribute and achievements.

Deadlines:

The deadline for submitting applications online is 11:59:59 PM, EST on May 29, 2009. The four finalists for each category will be chosen by the CIO/Intel judging team. To ascertain the Intel Premier IT Professional's Choice Award, all eight abstracts will be completed by June 12, 2009, posted on cio.com landing page and judged exclusively by the Intel’s Premier IT Professional members from June 15, 2009 through June 26, 2009.

How We Use Your Information:

The judges will use this information for the purposes of this awards program.
